How to Flash Custom
Recovery on XiaomiRedmi 2/2A (Prime) (PC method)
In this article, we’ll learn to flash custom recovery in
Xiaomi redmi 2/2A (prime). As developers has made three custom recoveries for
Xiaomi redmi 2/2A (Prime). These are- CWM recovery,
TWRP recovery and Philz
recovery, in which TWRP and Philz both are touch recovery whereas CWM is
not a touch recovery.

How to flash custom recovery through
fast boot mode. (Non-rooted users)
Step 1:Download
adb&fastboot drivers from the link given above and set it up(Setting up of
adb) and place it in root of C:\ drive.
Step 2: Download the recovery
image that you want to flash from above link and place it in the adb folder.
Step 3:Now, open command
prompt in the adb directory, by- shift+
Right click and select command prompt.
Step 4:Open fast boot mode on
your device, by turning off it. After it shutdowns, then press volume down key + power button
simultaneously and hold it for few seconds and fast boot mode will open.
Step 5: Now, connect your
device using data cable and let the drivers be install.
Step 6:After driver gets
installed, open your command prompt which we opened at step 3 and type the
following commands-
1. fastboot devices & hit enter
2. fastboot flash recovery “name_of_recovery”.img& hit enter
Now, recovery has been installed. You can boot into it by
typing the following commands.
· fastboot boot “name_of_recovery”.img& hit enter(Boot to
recovery)
· fastboot reboot & hit enter (reboot to system)
